Takashi Taniguchi, the first GSTR-GP (Swim Team) athlete and member of the Japanese national swimming team, graduated from the GSTR-GP Swim Team on December 31, 2025. In 2024, he was selected for the Japanese national swimming team for the first time and competed in the Paris Olympics. He achieved an 8th place finish in the mixed medley relay, but unfortunately, he was eliminated in the preliminary rounds of his individual events, unable to overcome the formidable challenge of the world's best. However, he bounced back at the World Short Course Championships in December, achieving a 5th place finish in the 100m breaststroke and a 10th place finish in the 50m breaststroke, showcasing his potential to the world and boosting his confidence.

At the 2025 Japan Championships in March, she was selected to represent Japan in the 50m and 100m breaststroke events at the World Aquatics Championships. She says, "When I qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics, I was filled with joy, but in 2025, it was a feeling of relief." She has developed a sense of responsibility and pride in representing Japan in swimming and competing against the world, and her goal is now set on reaching the top of the world.

In May 2025, he set a new Japanese record in the 50m breaststroke, and he is showing steady progress towards the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore in July.
